*"Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world"*(1 John 4:4)

The epistle describe in clear term who the new creation in CHRiSt is. But most Christians have never associated themselves with the realities of their sonship simply because they've not taken advantage of the salient truths about who they are in CHRiSt. They end up living below God’s expectation and provisions in CHRiSt; they can’t stay positive in the face of prevailing circumstances. It's important to know that challenges inspire winners, hence you ought to stay dedicated and positive. Negative minds always struggle to see and create positive outcomes. Positive thinkers finds a way to get things done notwithstanding contrary circumstances. You should know that your life is not determined by the number of times you stumble, but by the number of times you rise up; dust yourself off and move forward. So don’t let anybody tell you, you can’t just because they can’t. The less you respond to negative people, the more peaceful and progressive your life will become. The entire water of the sea cannot sink a ship unless it get into the ship. Similarly, negativities in the world can’t put you down unless you allow it get inside you. Job 22:29 says, *"When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up..."*
Staying positive doesn’t mean challenges will not come, rather it is knowing that you'll be fine, no matter how things turn out. Jesus speaking in John 16:33 said, *"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world"* Until you truly acknowledge who you are in CHRiSt as revealed in the epistles and take advantage of your redemptive package, you will never be able to survive tough times. Those who have not given themselves to the word of God have their confessions very indefinite and uncertain. But the word teaches us how to speak and change situations. Hebrews 13:5-6 says, *"...for he hath said...So that we may boldly say.."*. It's very wrong to live your life based on what people and the pages of newspaper reports; never live according to the occurrences in your environment. What you do with the word of God matters; God’s word should be final in your life. Don’t always start your day with the broken pieces of yesterday; don’t allow your wounds turn you into the person you are not. Wake up every morning with the thought that something wonderful is about to happen; stop spending today complaining about yesterday. Remember what consumes your mind control your life.
God told Joshua, *"...Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest"* (Joshua 1:9) Here, the Lord was speaking to Joshua, who was taking over after the demise of Moses. He told Joshua to be strong and of good courage and not to be afraid or dismayed. These are opposing forces. If you are afraid and dismayed, then you are not strong and of good courage as they counteract each other. So, you’ve got to do two things and resist two things. The word dismay means “to fill with dread or apprehension; daunt”. If you get discouraged or dismayed, you stop the process of your victory. Ephesians 3:20, says *"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us"* The phrase “according to” means in proportion to or to the degree of the power that is working in you. God flows through us and if you become discouraged, you stop the flow of God’s power. Things may looked bleak, never be discouraged and dismayed. No matter what life throws at you, the Bible says in Isaiah 26:3 that the Lord will *“keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed upon Him because he trusts in Him"*. Our peace is linked directly to what we think. I’m telling you, unless you have a deliberate plan to encourage yourself in the Lord, you aren’t going to be encouraged. It is not normal to be encouraged; it’s normal to be discouraged. It’s abnormal to be strong and of good courage, but it is certainly doable. God’s Word will tell you exactly how to do it. If there was ever a time that encouragement was needed, it’s now

PRAYER: I declare that I know who I am in CHRiSt; I am stable and focus in my thoughts.
