SPRINGBOARD DAILY DEVOTIONAL
SUNDAY 30TH OCTOBER, 2022
*"Even everyone that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him"* (Isaiah 43:7).
Many believers are yet to come to terms with their identity in CHRiSt hence, they keep scrapping with unpleasant experiences - however such experiences are avoidable or summountable. Actually, there are two ways to go about life; the first is to depend on your efforts, struggle and credentials. And the other is to depend completely on the grace of God - the unearned, undeserve and unmerited favour of God, having been sourced from God at salvation: *"Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures"* (James 1:18); you've been given the ability to become the best you could be. That is why Christian living must always be well explained from the Scriptures. Our thought pattern as christians should only be substantiated from the Bible, and shouldn't rest within the borders of our experiences which can arise from thoughts averse to the revelation of the scriptures.
We're living in an era of the fulfillment of God’s dream which is for you to be at your best. You’re God’s peculiar child, His highly prized possession, perfectly separated from sin, sickness, poverty and failure unto the good life. The Bible says, *"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them”* (Ephesians 2:10). God lives in you by His Spirit in order to make you become that dream that you have in your heart. Never you pay attention to your senses; never you talk negatively about yourself. Colossians 4:6 says, “ *Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer everyman".* You don’t have to wait for things to happen, rather, find a way to get it fixed. The most common trait I have found in all successful people is that, they have conquered the temptation to easily give up.
The main reason we aren’t receiving God's best is because we're willing to settle for less. Very few are committed to God’s best. We have been influenced more by the world than by God’s Word and made to accept far less than what God has provided. As long as you accept God's less, you will live with it. You have to get tired of staying down before you will aggressively pursue God’s best. You have to have a holy dissatisfaction with mediocrity before you can experience all that God has for you; this doesn’t happen accidentally or automatically. If you don’t pursue it, you won’t get it. One of these days, we are all going to know better than we've known. 1Corin.13:12 says, *"For now we see through a glass, dimly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known".* We will understand that the same power that raised Christ from the dead was resident within us all along (Eph.1:18-20). We will discover that we didn’t have to be sick, depressed or discouraged.
Moses lived under an inferior covenant compared to ours (2Cor. 3:7-11). Jesus said John the Baptist was greater than Moses, yet the least New Testament saint is greater than John (Matt.11:11). Therefore, if Moses was still strong at 120 with good eyesight (Deut. 34:7), why would we settle for less? You should be willing to stand and fight the fight of faith, or you will be overcome by this world. If you don’t stir yourself up, you will settle for the bottom. The world isn’t going to encourage you toward God’s best, and most believers aren’t either. I encourage you to begin receiving God’s best. It doesn’t matter where you are now, what matters is where you are going to. God has ordained you to be the best and you cannot be anything less.
