THE FIRST FRUIT
“Honour the lord with thy substance and with the fruit of all thine increase (Proverbs 3:9 KJV).It is surprising that many people (believers alike) love to give God their leftovers. If they do give anything, they do so with a very wrong attitude. These individuals may be sincere to contribute something, but their attitude is not right or proper. The scripture says: to obey is better than sacrifice and to harken than the fat of rams (paraphrased).
God expects us to obey His voice more than making sacrifices to Him. It is important to give God the first part of our income. This shows that God, not our possessions has first place in our lives and that our resources belong to Him, we are only managers of such resources.
First fruit offering is to God a way of demonstrating the principle of putting God first in all things. It shows the act of loving the lord with all your heart, soul & mind (Matthew 22:32-38).
First fruit simply refers to the initial or first harvest of ones labour & does not necessarily refer to agricultural produce but whatever benefits come to us as a result of our labour or service rendered.
Prepare to give God first, to be able to properly manage God’s blessings in your life.
Prayer
My father, I am putting you first in all my endeavours. I put you first in my income. I give willingly the first of my increase. Thank you for the wisdom of giving my first fruit. In Jesus name – Amen.
WE PASSIONATELY CARE ABOUT YOU
We believe there is a void in every person that only a relationship with God can fill. We’re not referring to finding religion or joining a particular church we are referring to having a relationship with your heavenly father through his son Jesus Christ. We believe that knowing him is the source of true peace and fulfillment in life we encourage you to pray thus: Jesus, I believe you died for me and rose from the dead I hereby confess you as my lord and savior. I receive the life of God into my spirit and now am born again.Thank you lord jesus for the new life I have now in you. In Jesus name – amen.
