SPRINGBOARD DAILY DEVOTIONAL

GOOD MORNING

SPRINGBOARD DAILY DEVOTIONAL
MONDAY 12TH JULY, 2021
TOPIC: WE BEAT THE ODDS

*For though I am away from you in body, yet I am with you in spirit, delighted at the sight of your (standing shoulder to shoulder in such) orderly array and the firmness and the solid front and steadfastness of your faith in Christ (that learning of the entire human personality on Him in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom and goodness)*
(Colossians 2:5 AMPC)

Having given your heart to Christ at salvation, it doesn’t mean you will not face challenges nor opposition anymore. Challenges come to test our faith hence, in such times, you don't need to cower or allow your faith to dissipate. Infact in the face of daunting challenges and seemingly overwhelming oppositions, you should keep declaring who you are in Christ.
As children of God, we have a solid front in Christ; and this is what the spirit of God is saying in our theme text. In the face of daunting challenges and oppositions, we ought not to chicken out or give in, rather, we face them head-on, because we’re bold and courageous. We’re victors in Christ Jesus and that is why it baffles the spiritually unlearned how we’re able to face challenges and dire situations in life and still be aglow in the spirit; full of joy and exuberant with praise to the Lord. This is because we’ve come to know that, come -what-may, our victory is inevitable in Christ. We win always and we are never disadvantaged.
Most people, when faced with challenges, they say things like, *I am dying; I am finished; I don’t think I can survive this; I am fade up with everything.* They are quick to say something negative when things go wrong. Yet, the truth is that every word we speak has the power to build or destroy hopes and dreams; to restore or cause loss; to bring delight or despair, because God’s word says that death and life are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21). It is true that many believe the word of God but you ought to understand that to get the desired result, you should be lining your words, thoughts and actions with God’s word – it will release power on your behalf.   Jesus rightly said, *These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the word ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the word* (John 16:33). Those who don’t stand their grounds, with a solid front in the midst of trouble have ignored the word and are walking in fear and  unbelief. But that’s not God’s will for you because nothing in life was designed to defeat you. Therefore be tough; keep your head high and square your shoulders. No matter what’s going on in your life or around you, maintain your faith in God’s word and win.
