29th Dec. 2018. SPRINGBOARD DAILY DEVOTIONAL  T OPIC: CELEBRATING THE PRIVILEGE TO PREACH THE GOSPEL 1 “…. Peace be unto you. As my Father hath sent me even so I send you” (John 20:21) What makes the new creation unique is the fact that we have the same life with Him (Christ); we’re in His class of being; we’re the ones called into oneness with Him; we’re the only ones who are in fellowship with Him in spirit and in truth. This is a privilege even angels don’t have. The New Living Translation of James 1:18 gives us a better description of the above claim: “He chose to give birth to us by  giving us His true word. And we, out of all creation, became his prized possessions”. Every Christians is a fellow-citizen of heaven and a member of God’s household (Ephesians 2:19) and this comes with huge responsibility. We’re bearers of His righteousness; we’re light in a dark world. We must take the light of the Gospel to men and women in our world. (Matthew 24:14). The gos...

28th Dec. 2018. SPRINGBOARD DAILY DEVOTIONAL  TOPIC: CELEBRATING YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS IN CHRIST 3 “For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:17) The word righteousness is the Greek word “dikaiosune” which means “you are right”. It relates to the state and not as “dikaioo” that relates to the act. So when a person is born again, he is justified by faith and by God’s grace, the persons now has righteousness based on what Christ has done; he acquires a state or status of righteousness. This state is only available in Christ, hence a person receives it as a gift according to our theme verse. The word “gift” as it is captured in our theme verse is the Greek word “dorea”; it means free, having no condition attached and its another word for benevolence. This affirms that the gift of righteousness is FREE and has NO CONDITION attached t...

26th Dec. 2018. SPRINGBOARD DAILY DEVOTIONAL TOPIC: CELEBRATING YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS IN CHRIST 1 “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit. For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death” (Romans 8:1-2) I Timothy 2:3-4 says, “… For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our savior. Who will have all men to be saved and to come unto the knowledge of the truth”. The above verses of the Bible instructively affirms the fact that the believer will cease from merely existing to the point where he will start living in His fullness, when he begins to function in the knowledge (Greek: Epignosis) of the truth. Where these existing truths are applied appropriately, it makes the believer invincible in the face of any challenge and the devil. No matter who you’re, where you are, what you do and where you do what you do, God wants your life to b...

25th Dec. 2018. SPRINGBOARD DAILY DEVOTIONAL  TOPIC: CELEBRATING HIS GLORIOUS BIRTH “And the shepherds returned glorifying and praising God…” (Luke 2:20) Today we celebrate the greatest event in history. The messiah was born thousands of years ago to bring us freedom and then reconcile us to the Father. God decided to become man to save man (1 Timothy 3:16; 2Corinthians 5:19). For ages, the Jews waited for this awesome event but when it finally occurred, the religious group, the Pharisees and Sadducees were not informed. God by-passed them for the humble shepherd and the wise men. The mission of Jesus was to take care of sin; to save from sin. “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shall call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21) .Actually, the name Jesus in Hebrew is “YESHUA” and it means ”SAVIOUR”. So His name is the affirmation of His mission. Jesus became our spiritual “scapegoat” who took our place and gave us His pla...

24th Dec. 2018.  SPRINGBOARD DAILY DEVOTIONAL TOPIC: CELEBRATING WHO YOU’RE IN CHRIST 7 “Who hath delivered us out of the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear son: in whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins” (Colossians 1:13-14) When the Bible say, “Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge  of God, and of Jesus our Lord” (2 Peter 1:2). It is not referring to general or science knowledge (Greek: Gnosis) rather it is referring to absolute knowledge that comes through revelation and relationship; it is the Greek word “epignosis”. It means that if you want to multiply in grace, you’ve got to know more of God. “Epignosis” is the accurate and precise knowledge of God that you gain through revelation and meditation. We’ve got to know who we are and what we have in Christ as this will tend to ease a lot of tension that a lot of believers subject themselves to. As one who’s born again, ...

23rd Dec. 2018. SPRINGBOARD DAILY DEVOTIONAL TOPIC: CELEBRATING WHO YOU’RE IN CHRIST 6 “For in him we live and move, and have our being; as certain also of your poets have said, for we are also his offspring” (Acts 17:28) In John 15:7 Jesus said “if ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you”. By implication it means that if the new creation continually lives in the full consciousness of his life in Christ, he can make anything happen in his life. You see, one of the most profound truth about Christianity is that Christ lives in us and we live in Him and no other faith has such claim. Buddha does not live in a Buddhist neither does Muhammed, live in a Muslim. But the risen Christ lives on your inside if you’re born again. And this reality even make us superior to angels. The Bible reveals that Christians are higher than angels, as a matter of fact, we will judge angels (1 Corinthians 6:3). After the rapture ...

22nd Dec. 2018. SPRINGBOARD DAILY DEVOTIONAL TOPIC: CELEBRATING WHO YOU’RE IN CHRIST 5 “That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ that we might receive the promise of the spirit through faith” (Galatians 3:14) The believer at salvation received and now has the spirit of the son resident in him which is also called the spirit of Christ. “And because ye are sons, God sent forth the spirit of his son into our hearts, crying Abba, Father” (Galatians 4:6). So when the Apostle Paul Said, “Even the mystery which had been hid from ages and from generations but now is made manifest to his saints. To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:26-27). He was talking about the indwelling of the spirit. What Paul is saying in essence in the above verses is that all believers have the indwelling of the spirit. And the fact of the indwelling spi...

21st Dec. 2018. SPRINGBOARD DAILY DEVOTIONAL  TOPIC: CELEBRATING WHO YOU’RE IN CHRIST 4 “But ye are not in the flesh, but in the spirit, if so be that the spirit of God dwells in you. Now if any man have not the spirit of Christ, he is none of his” (Romans 8:9) 2 Corinthians 1: 20 says, “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us”. It explains or affirms that all the prophecies of God in the old testaments has been fulfilled in Christ including the promise of the spirit. When God by His spirit spoke through the prophet Ezekiel saying, “And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk I my status, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them” (Ezekiel 36:27) He was referring to the emergences of a new race of beings whom by the force of regeneration will be given the capacity to carry the spirit within. The promise of the spirit in the four Gospels pointed to a “residence” and “permanence” which actually speaks of...

20th Dec. 2018 SPRINGBOARD DAILY DEVOTIONAL   TOPIC: CELEBRATING WHO YOU’RE IN CHRIST 3 “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you…” (Acts 1:8) God is not at all perturbed when any child of His is faced with unpleasant situations. In fact, I want to let you know that He is happy to see you face these challenges because He knows that for sure, you’ll come out victoriously. God knows that you can effect the change you desire at any time because in Christ, you already have the divine power resident in you that’s necessary to change any situation; it was deposited in you the moment you received the Holy spirit into your life. (when you were born again). When the Bible say, “And we know that all things work together for good to them who love God, to them who are called according to his purpose”(Romans 8:28). It means that at salvation you were chosen out of the multitude hence nothing can successfully work against you; in fact no system of...

19th Dec. 2018 SPRINGBOARD DAILY DEVOTIONAL   TOPIC: CELEBRATING WHO YOU’RE IN CHRIST 2 “Now thanks be unto God which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the saviour of his knowledge by us in every place” (2 Corinthians 2:14)  Jesus said in Luke 21:25-26 that in the last days, there will be perplexity of nations in such a way that men’s heart will be failing them for fear. But as a Christian it’s important to know that you ought not to fear, rather you lay hold on the word of God, which is the only way out of fear and insecurity. As a child of God, you’re called to live your life beyond this world. That’s the way Jesus lived; He lived the God-life; He was invincible; the fullness of Godhead tabernacled in Him, and this manner of life doesn’t coexist with failure, fear or insecurity. You’re also called to such a glorious and triumphant life were you dominate and reign over all activities of darkness. The Lord Jesus knew we would encount...

SPRINGBOARD DAILY DEVOTIONAL   TOPIC: CELEBRATING WHO YOU’RE IN CHRIST 1 “Even everyone that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him” (Isaiah 43:7) By my personal research and as I minister and interact with people, Christians alike, I have come to realize that many people are yet to come to term with their identity in Christ and that is why they keep finding themselves in unpleasant situations. I discover that my study daily is really an unveiling of what we are in Christ today; of what He says we are; what He has made us to be in His Redemptive work. These revelations are largely from the epistles (the Christian family album). They are inexhaustible and are suggestions to provoke you to study more deeply into these hidden riches. One cannot know the incarnate one as we’ve seen Him in the four Gospels unless we have had the opportunity to become acquainted with Him as revealed in the Epistles. The Gospels...

SPRINGBOARD DAILY DEVOTIONAL  TOPIC: CELEBRATING THE NEW LIFE IN YOU 8 “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue. Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them and be established in THE PRESENT TRUTH” (2 Peter 1:3, 12) The more you study the word of God, the more convinced you’ll become that Christianity is not a religion but it is life in the supernatural. It is life in Christ, the transcendent life; life beyond failure and defeat. So when you see a believer still living in defeat and failures, that believer lacks knowledge of the truth about his unquestionable identity in Christ as contained in the word of God. As a child of God, you should know that God’s thoughts are communicated through words and those words are committed to writing; the written word called the Bible. It therefore m...
