Jesus said in Luke 21:25-26 that in the last days, there will be perplexity of nations in such a way that men’s heart will be failing them for fear. But as a Christian it’s important to know that you ought not to fear, rather you lay hold on the word of God, which is the only way out of fear and insecurity.
As a child of God, you’re called to live your life beyond this world. That’s the way Jesus lived; He lived the God-life; He was invincible; the fullness of Godhead tabernacled in Him, and this manner of life doesn’t coexist with failure, fear or insecurity. You’re also called to such a glorious and triumphant life were you dominate and reign over all activities of darkness.
The Lord Jesus knew we would encounter difficult and trying times in the world, but He assured us that as we are firmly in Him, we would live triumphantly; we would live a life of peace even in times of crises. That’s why He said in John 16:33: “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world”. It is wise to allow these words of the master to sink in your heart and create the mindset of the overcomer in you.
Romans 8:37says, “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us”. This means that in Christ, you’re ordained to prosper, triumph and succeed all the time. God’s word gives us the assurance that we’re not alone, and that irrespective of the cruel and unfriendly manipulations of the enemy, our victory is a settled fact.
As Christians, we dwell in the secret place of the most high, and abide under the shadow of the Almighty. God rightly said that a thousand will fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, yet it will not harm you. You must believe this truth and make it your consciousness; you must live in the consciousness of an everyday winner.
