SPRINGBOARD DAILY DEVOTIONAL

TOPIC: CELEBRATING WHO YOU’RE IN CHRIST 5

“That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ that we might receive the promise of the spirit through faith” (Galatians 3:14)

The believer at salvation received and now has the spirit of the son resident in him which is also called the spirit of Christ. “And because ye are sons, God sent forth the spirit of his son into our hearts, crying Abba, Father” (Galatians 4:6). So when the Apostle Paul Said, “Even the mystery which had been hid from ages and from generations but now is made manifest to his saints. To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:26-27). He was talking about the indwelling of the spirit.
What Paul is saying in essence in the above verses is that all believers have the indwelling of the spirit. And the fact of the indwelling spirit was emphatically taught all through the epistles, thus establishing it as an important factor that the new creation ought to know and be acquainted with. Infact, when you look at the promise God made to Abraham as captured in our today’s theme scripture, it wasn’t cars, houses, cows or anything tangible, not at all. What God was saying was that there will be a generation, a new race who through Christ will have the capacity to house God (His spirit). This was the promise made to Abraham and the emergence of the new creation is the fulfillment of that promise.

Every Christian should have the consciousness of the indwelling spirit in him; it is the consciousness of a victor, it will cause you to live supernaturally everyday of your life; because it matters how you perceive challenges and respond when faced with daunting situations. With the spirit in you and giving yourself totally to the word, it makes no difference how daunting a challenge may appear before you, you’re up to the task. See the possibility of coming out victoriously.
Like Apostle Paul, say to yourself, “I can do all things through Christ ” (the indwelling spirit) which strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13). Make this your everyday confession, and see things work in your favour.

WE PASSIONATELY CARE ABOUT YOU
We believe there is a void in every person that only a relationship with God can fill. We’re not referring to finding religion or joining a particular church we are referring to having a relationship with your heavenly father through his son Jesus Christ. We believe that knowing him is the source of true peace and fulfillment in life we encourage you to pray thus: Jesus, I believe you died for me and rose from the dead I hereby confess you as my lord and savior. I receive the life of God into my spirit and now am born again.
Thank you lord Jesus for the new life I have now in you. In Jesus name – amen.
