“For in him we live and move, and have our being; as certain also of your poets have said, for we are also his offspring” (Acts 17:28)
In John 15:7 Jesus said “if ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you”. By implication it means that if the new creation continually lives in the full consciousness of his life in Christ, he can make anything happen in his life.
You see, one of the most profound truth about Christianity is that Christ lives in us and we live in Him and no other faith has such claim. Buddha does not live in a Buddhist neither does Muhammed, live in a Muslim. But the risen Christ lives on your inside if you’re born again.
And this reality even make us superior to angels. The Bible reveals that Christians are higher than angels, as a matter of fact, we will judge angels (1 Corinthians 6:3). After the rapture of the church (the new creation; the born again), we will be seated with Christ on thrones and judge the world including angels that didn’t obey God.
We’re superior to angels on account of who we are in Christ; we’re superior to angels on account of our identity with Christ. And by that identity with Him, the Bible says we’re joint heirs with Him (Romans 8:17). Our identity with Christ is what makes us sons, born of the spirit of God (1 John 3:1-3). Angels are servants; they’re ministering spirits, sent to minister for us, whom the Bible describes as the heir of salvation. (Hebrews 1:13-14). So as one who’s identified with Christ through salvation; you’re directly joined with Christ; you’re one with Him; “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit” (1 Corinthians 6:17).
Its amazing what God has made possible for us in Christ and you should know that what’s available in Christ is obtainable. Angels really are powerful than we’re in might and strength, but we have authority in the Name of Jesus and angels are subject to that. They listen to Him and obey Him and we are in Him. As He is, so are we in this world
(I John 4:17).
This therefore means no defeat, no frustration, no lack, no failure but victory and glory all the way. Know that by your identity with Christ, you are one with inherent ability to victoriously breakthrough obstacles and barriers.
