SPRINGBOARD DAILY DEVOTIONAL


 APRIL 9.
“… Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven” 
(Matthew 5:14, 16)

God’s word is what you need for spiritual growth and development. God’s word is what you need for a balanced and successful life that you now have in Christ. Reason being that you were created by the word of God which means the word of God is your life; it’s your source and you would only be victorious and successful to the degree you’re willing to stay on the word.
The Master is saying, “Let your light shine”, it means that wherever I go, I have the responsibility to shine; shining should be my way of life. No matter the circumstances of life, regardless of the challenges confronting me, it’s my responsibility to shine.  Where your light is not shining, people in your sphere of influence will be left in the dark; challenges and circumstances of life will likely overwhelm them.
Light is that which describes; it shows you what actually exists. Where there is darkness it is impossible to see and appreciate the beauty of a place even though the place maybe beautifully adorn. But the moment light comes, the beauty of the place will be made visible to you and that’s when you would appreciate the environment-light describes and shows you things present in a place.
A lot of people have given up hope, they’re tired of the miserable life they’re living. Some go as far as wanting to end their lives because nothing is really working for them; they’re struggling to survive. Some are up today and tomorrow they’re down. To some, staying on the low side of life has been their testimony. But you see, it is evident that when a man has a wrong view about life, he will keep struggling; having a wrong or negative perception about life is what has kept many stagnated for so long.
While Jesus was on earth He showed the people of His time that they can actually live the high life. Today, you’re the light and hope of the world. The Bible says, “Saviours shall come up from mount Zion”(Obadiah 1:21). You are the fulfillment of that prophecy. It means that it makes no difference the darkness and problems in the world, you’re to give people in your sphere of contact the assurance that they can still live a prosperous and successful life on earth. The challenges in the world today is your opportunity to shine; you can start now in that compound where you live; you can determine in your heart that every one that comes around will encounter the love of Christ emanating from you. Don’t wait for the big opportunity; start with the little opportunity today. Let you light shine today, men wants to see it.

PRAYER:
 Dear Father, it is evident that you’ve chosen and made me the light of the world. Through me people will be transformed from darkness to light, in Jesus name – Amen.

We’re not referring to finding religion or joining a particular church we are referring to having a relationship with your heavenly father through his son Jesus Christ. We believe that knowing him is the source of true peace and fulfillment in life we encourage you to pray thus: Jesus, I believe you died for me and rose from the dead I hereby confess you as my lord and savior. I receive the life of God into my spirit and now am born again.

February 18. “The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available (dynamic in its working)” (James 5:16 Amp) The happenings in our environments and the world over calls for our importunity in prayer. Out of ignorance a lot of people are blaming God for certain occurrences in their lives. But if things must change in the direction of God’s original plans and purposes, then we must keep praying. God knows that there’s no situation a child of His cannot change because the divine power necessary to effect such change is already resident in you; it was deposited in you the moment you became born again. God doesn’t expect you to cry out for help or start complaining but He expects you to enforce your victory in the place of prayer.
