SPRINGBOARD DAILY DEVOTIONAL

  APRIL 10.

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the FATHER OF LIGHTS, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning”
(James 1:17)

The true identity of the believer is located in the word of God, particularly the epistles which is the revelation of the Old Testament. It is in the epistles that we’re described and the summary of it is that we’re on Christ; we look exactly like the resurrected Christ. So if you must see us well, it must be in Christ, take us outside Christ you will see a wrong person. By revelation Apostle Paul affirmed this when he said, “wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we  him no more” (2 Corinthians 5:16).
Our theme verse lets us to know our source which is God. At salvation we became part of God; He is the Father of Lights and we’re children of light. We’ve been brought out of darkness into God’s marvelous light (Colossians 1:12-13). Speaking of God’s location, Apostle Paul in his letter to his son Timothy had this to say: “who only hath immortality, dweling in the light which no man can approach unto, whom no man hath seen, nor can see…” (I Timothy 6:16). So God as the Father of lights dwells in the light which no man can approach unto, seen nor can see. And we’ve been called out of darkness into His marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9).
That light is the very “light of life” in which is victory, dominion, and success. You now belong in a spiritual kingdom; the kingdom of God’s dear son where sin, death, evil and all the negative things associated with darkness can’t prevail. You can now live above sickness, disease, poverty, frustration and depression and everything associated with the devil.
But to succeed in this kingdom, you must apply spiritual principles and not the principles of this world. You are called to function in the supernatural; you belong to the kingdom that’s superior to the kingdom of this world. You’re not subject to the darkness and decadent systems of this world. You belong to the kingdom of glory, prosperity, beauty, honour and excellence, where you’re to enjoy all that’s available. So learn to function via spiritual principals.

 Dear Father, I thank you for bringing me into your family where I reign through righteousness, in Jesus name – Amen.

I receive the life of God into my spirit and now am born again.

February 18. “The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available (dynamic in its working)” (James 5:16 Amp) The happenings in our environments and the world over calls for our importunity in prayer. Out of ignorance a lot of people are blaming God for certain occurrences in their lives. But if things must change in the direction of God’s original plans and purposes, then we must keep praying. God knows that there’s no situation a child of His cannot change because the divine power necessary to effect such change is already resident in you; it was deposited in you the moment you became born again.
