SPRINGBOARD DAILY DEVOTIONAL
February 4.
“There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from His”.
(Hebrews 4:9-10)
Christ is our rest and at salvation when He came into your heart, you entered into your rest; you entered into a struggle – free zone-where you cease to struggle or toil for anything. This is because you’re now wherethe fullness of God is manifestly evident. You’re where everything required for success and the good life has been lavishy made available. Hence, you don’t have to struggle anymore, for you’ve entered into God’s rest; you’ve entered into a realm where unthinkable things, signs and wonders becomes the order of the day.
The events we see in many nations today confirm Jesus’ word in Luke 21:26where He said,“People will be so frightened that they will faint because of what is happening to the world”. A lot of people and nations are enveloped in gross darkness: economic hardship, terrorism, epidemic, wars and natural disasters. These and more are actually leaving many nations gasping for survival.
However, because you’re in Christ, you have nothing to fear, because in Him, you’re insulated from harsh situation of the world (John 16:33). God has separated you from the world and given you a life that’s beyond failure. Your place in Christ is that of success in succession; we’re in Christ, our place of rest, ruling and reigning as kings.
We’re seated with Him in the heavenlies (Ephesians 2:6). And this can’t be a place of hardship, toiling or failure. It’s a position of rest. In Christ, nothing can successfully work to our disadvantage. Our life has been ordained in such a way that no challenge can overwhelm us – we rest in Christ.
