“and he came to nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stoop up for to read”
(luke 4:16)
This year, one area of your life you must guard jealously is fellowship in the house of God. From my personal observation, I have come to discover that most believers are not growing spiritually because they exempt themselves from cooperate fellowship. The fall in vital areas of your life is as result of the corruption of your worship with God. To win the battle in every other area of your life, you must win the battle of fellowship.
Christian commitment is very important, and one way to demonstrate it is by attending church services regularly. People will only affirm that you’re a Christian when they observe that you’re consistent in attending church services and other special programmes organized by your local assembly.
David so loved God that whenever it was to go to church, he will be so excited. He had this to say, “As the heart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God; my soul thirsted for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?”.In other words, David’s love for God translated into his love for His house (Psalm 43:1-2).
David also said, “I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into the house of the Lord” (Psalm 122:1).  He understood the benefits of being in God’s house hence, he rejoiced at every given opportunity to be in the house of God. This ought to be your attitude as well. You must understand that each church service you attend, there is something the spirit of God has specially planned for you.
You shouldn’t cultivate the habit of missing church services because every church service is specially ordained of God with you in mind. Irrespective of your tight schedules, endeavor to always be in church services because that is God’s place of appointment to bless you and touch your life in a special way.

PRAYER: 
Dear Father, I thank you for the blessings I enjoy as attend church services. I recognize these services as the place you’ve appointed for me to hear your word. I am growing and maturing daily by your word, in Jesus name – Amen.
