SPRINGBOARD DAILY DEVOTIONAL
January 21.
“Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men” (Proverbs 22:29)The reason why most believers are stagnated for a long time in their lives is because they lack the factor of diligence. The testimony of Jacobs’s outstanding success in the house of Laban was made possible by the factor of diligence. His testimony confirms that diligence in service is key to enforcing outstanding success. “And he said unto him, thou knowest how I have served thee, and how thy cattle was with me. For it was little which thou hadst before I came, an it is now increased unto a multitude; and the Lord hath blessed thee since my coming: and now when shall I provide for mine won house also?”(Genesis 30:29-30).
It means that increase, promotion and outstanding success is not just a function of location or connection but a product of diligent labour and work. There is no way you deploy your energy for purposeful impact; there’s no way you apply knowledge for performance and productivity; there’s no way you engage mentality to give solution to problems, and you’re doing it diligently that you will not see success.
Diligence means “conscientiousness in paying proper attention to a task; giving the degree of care required in a given situation”’. It also means “persevering determination to perform a task”it means that a diligent person apart from putting his best into what he does, he also most importantly pay attention to detail and perfection.
The Bible says, “whatsoever thy hand findeth to do; do it with all thy might..” (Ecclesiastes 9:10). It means we ought to work hard and passionately with our heart. Diligence is what will sustain profit, progress, promotion and prominence.
Our theme verse tells us that if you’re diligent you will stand before kings which means that diligence will always earn you a place of influence and authority. Make up you mind to apply diligence in all your endeavours because the Bible also says, “He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich” (Proverbs 10:4).
Don’t despise any responsibility, irrespective of how low it might seem. God wants to take you higher this year but you must be diligent.

WE PASSIONATELY CARE ABOUT YOU
WE PASSIONATELY CARE ABOUT YOU
We believe there is a void in every person that only a relationship with God can fill. We’re not referring to finding religion or joining a particular church we are referring to having a relationship with your heavenly father through his son Jesus Christ. We believe that knowing him is the source of true peace and fulfillment in life we encourage you to pray thus: Jesus, I believe you died for me and rose from the dead I hereby confess you as my lord and savior. I receive the life of God into my spirit and now am born again.
Thank you lord Jesus for the new life I have now in you. In Jesus name – amen
