SPRINGBOARD DAILY DEVOTIONAL



 March 2.
“A vast crowd brought to him people who were lame, blind, crippled, those who couldn’t speak, and many others. They laid them before Jesus, and he healed them all. The crowd was amazed! Those who hadn’t been able to speak were talking, the crippled were made well, the lame were walking, and the blind could see again! And they praised the God of Israel.”
 (Matthew 15: 30-31 NLT)
Beloved, no matter the sickness or debilitating condition anyone is experiencing, none is impossible with God to change. If only the one experiencing such condition would believe the word of God, there will be a difference. Now, in believing, we put our faith to work and get our earnest desires including our healing. That was why Jesus said to the man whose son was tormented by an evil spirit that “Anything is possible if a person believes” (Mark 9:23).
God is gracious and kind, always having His power extended to all who believe. So there’s no need enduring painful health condition when God’s healing is available to you; all you have to do is to believe and take it.
It gives me a lot of concern when I hear some people out of ignorance say things like, “If it is the will of God, let me die in this sickness”. “I know for sure that God is using this sickness to discipline me”. “There’s nothing I can do because mine is a family sickness”. God cannot use sickness as a means to discipline His children and sickness is not the will of God for God’s children because according to our theme verses, Jesus healed all sick people that were brought to Him.
Sweetheart, I want you to know that it doesn’t make sense that a healing God would wish His own children to be sick. In fact, Jesus while here on earth, healed both Jews and none Jews (Matthew 15:21-28). I want you to know that God is willing for you to be healed. That is why, He took all your sicknesses and diseases upon His body (Isaiah 55:5).
Since He has already suffered the sickness on your behalf, it is senseless to suffer it today. So beloved, if you’re sick, know that God didn’t give it to you and so it is your right to believe and get healed.

February 18. “The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available (dynamic in its working)” (James 5:16 Amp) The happenings in our environments and the world over calls for our importunity in prayer. Out of ignorance a lot of people are blaming God for certain occurrences in their lives. But if things must change in the direction of God’s original plans and purposes, then we must keep praying.
