SPRINGBOARD DAILY DEVOTIONAL

 March 7
“l he shall go before, him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just (righteous)…”
(Luke 1:17).

Until a believer understands the importance of his “in Christ” status, he will keep struggling in his walk of faith. The realization of who he is, what he has and his abilities in Christ as contained in the epistles is what will make his victory over Satan and his cohorts a mere work over. The greatest thing said of the new creation is that he is in Christ hence Paul in his mandate to disclose the revelation of the mystery used signature phrases like “in Him”, “in whom” and “in Christ”.
These signature phrases is what describes who we are, where we are, what we now have and most importantly our sonship position in Him now. By implication, it means we have become to Him (God) what Jesus is (the son) is to Him. We have the nature and attributes that made Jesus so beautiful to the world and made Him stand out as the most unusual character the ages have ever seen.
The expression “the wisdom of the righteous” in our theme verse means that the believer has a certain kind of wisdom. The Greek word for wisdom as captured in the verse of the scripture is “Phronesis”; it refers to a mindset; a fixed mental attitude or a disposition that predetermines a person’s responses to situations and his interpretation of those situations.
This is the kind of mindset every believer ought to possess because the challenge most believers have is that they do nothing about their minds after salvation and so they end up facing and living like the unbelievers. “Phronesis” speaks of a mental attitude that influences your actions under a given situation; a programming of your mind to reason, respond, interpret a situation and behave in a way that’s different from others but excellently.
This kind of mindset is what keeps you calm in the midst of daring situations; it help you make the right decision and choices with the assurance of victory in your heart. It is the word of God that helps you form the right mindset – one that can soar above any situation and at any time. It’s what gives you enduring success even when others are failing. So make the best investment in your mind today and be assured of outstanding results in all your dealings.

PRAYER:
Dear Father, I thank you for enriching my heart via your word. I am an overcomer in Jesus name, Amen.

WE PASSIONATELY CARE ABOUT YOU
We believe there is a void in every person that only a relationship with God can fill. We’re not referring to finding religion or joining a particular church we are referring to having a relationship with your heavenly father through his son Jesus Christ. We believe that knowing him is the source of true peace and fulfillment in life we encourage you to pray thus: Jesus, I believe you died for me and rose from the dead I hereby confess you as my lord and savior. I receive the life of God into my spirit and now am born again.

Thank you lord Jesus for the new life I have now in you. In Jesus name – amen
