SPRINGBOARD DAILY DEVOTIONAL

March 14
“My little children, these things write i unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world” (1 John 2:1-2).
You might have come across certain people who have been Christians for long, yet not grounded and settled in simple realities and truths of the kingdom. They aren’t growing hence it is hard for them to accept all of what the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ has made available to them. This has left a lot of believers disquieted, unsettled and tormented.
As a Christian, you need to be deeply rooted and grounded in faith and it is having precise knowledge of the truth about your personality in Christ that will help the believer get to that. And your personal study of, and meditation of the word of God is very vital. Just going to church isn’t enough.
I’m always overwhelmed by the depth of the Father’s love for us. All that Jesus did was to display the father’s love for us. It is a fact that even if you were the only person here on earth, Jesus would have still comes to die to save you. When Jesus resurrected from the dead, He was appointed as our advocate against the devil who is described in the Bible as the accuser of God’s people (Revelation 2:10).
Apostle Paul speaking in Romans 8:25 said, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ…” it means that nothing, not even your mistakes can pull you out of God’s hand. It is the love of God that took Jesus to the cross; it is that same love that brought Him out of the grave; and after salvation, it is the same love that keeps the believer (John 10:28-30; Hebrews 7:25).
So you should know that every time the devil tries to accuse you and make you feel undeserving of God’s blessings, Jesus your advocates with the Father speaks in your defence. Jesus is not there begging God to have mercy on you. No, the Father’s love on you make it impossible for God’s wrath to come to you. Jesus is there to present you holy and unblamable to the Father (Colossians 1:22).
Stop struggling and arguing with the devil; it is impossible to be disadvantaged when the advocate is on your side. Remember as Jesus is, so are you in this world (1 John 4:17) you’re not inferior to Him and He is not superior to you hence He calls you brethren (Hebrews 2:11). Remember that you’re eternally preserved in the love of God and there’s nothing the devil can do about it.

PRAYER:
Dear Father, thank you for giving Jesus as my advocate. I am free

WE PASSIONATELY CARE ABOUT YOU
We believe there is a void in every person that only a relationship with God can fill. We’re not referring to finding religion or joining a particular church we are referring to having a relationship with your heavenly father through his son Jesus Christ. We believe that knowing him is the source of true peace and fulfillment in life we encourage you to pray thus: Jesus, I believe you died for me and rose from the dead I hereby confess you as my lord and savior. I receive the life of God into my spirit and now am born again.

Thank you lord Jesus for the new life I have now in you. In Jesus name – amen
