“But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit” (1 Corinthians 6:17).
At salvation, what God did was to make the believer one with Him; the biggest thing about our salvation in Christ Jesus is our oneness with the Lord. We’re not mere believers or followers of Him, but we’re in fellowship with Him. Not only was our spirit recreated at salvation, we were immersed into Christ which means that you’re literally joined together with Him inseparably but are being separated from the world. And now that we’re literally joined together with Him in an inseparable union, we’re members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones (Ephesians 5:30). His intention being that our thoughts and actions should always be in line with His purpose and will for our lives.
Consecration scripturally means to separate and treat differently. This is where the word holiness is derived from. A lot of people especially religious folks don’t really know what holiness is. We’re not called holy because we don’t do wrong; we’re not called holy because we’re sinless. Holiness means to set apart, that is why in the old covenant days, objects were called holy, even the children of Israel who were full of sins were called holy by God.
We’re holy because God call us holy; we’ve been separated and set apart for God; sanctified and called brethren. (Hebrews 3:1; 2:11)so consecration means to sanctify or dedicate something or make it available for God (Ephesians 1:3-4).
In 1 Peter 1:15, the Bible says, “But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation”. God here is not telling us to try to be holy but informing us that we’re as holy as He is; God’s part was to call us holy, our part is to agree, acknowledge and identify with this status.
There is Holiness in verb and Noun. Holiness in verb refers to the believer’s actions, conduct, lifestyle reflecting holiness while holiness in noun refers to the believer’s nature which is holy. So it means that the believer must treat himself as he’s being called. How you treat your body explains whether you’re acknowledging your status of holiness nevertheless, your action doesn’t change God’s verdict on you. But as a child of God, God expects you to live always acknowledging and reflecting your nature of holiness.

WE PASSIONATELY CARE ABOUT YOU
WE PASSIONATELY CARE ABOUT YOU
We believe there is a void in every person that only a relationship with God can fill. We’re not referring to finding religion or joining a particular church we are referring to having a relationship with your heavenly father through his son Jesus Christ. We believe that knowing him is the source of true peace and fulfillment in life we encourage you to pray thus: Jesus, I believe you died for me and rose from the dead I hereby confess you as my lord and savior. I receive the life of God into my spirit and now am born again.
Thank you lord Jesus for the new life I have now in you. In Jesus name – ame
