SPRINGBOARD DAILY DEVOTIONAL

  MARCH 4.

“But the natural man receiveth not the things of the spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned” (1 Corinthians 2:14)

We stated yesterday that the reason most believers are cut off from supernatural things is because of their naturalness. When it comes to the things of the spirit, they’re ignorant of the ways of God, they’re like Jacob, who came to a place, made himself a pillow and lay down to sleep. Unknown to him, God was in that place and he never knew (Genesis 28:10-16).
One of the reasons a lot of believers remain sick for a long time is because they are always thinking normally, as human beings should.
You’re cut off from the supernatural were you’re analytical or logical. The reason a lot of believers couldn’t speak in tongue even after being born again for several years is because they are natural, analytical and judgmental.
It is when you move from the natural state to the supernatural that unthinkable things happen. And this happens when you have your senses exercised to discern or distinguish good or evil (Hebrews 5:14). “But strong meat belongeth to them that are full of age (mature), even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil”.  The word “senses” as captured in the above verse of the scripture is Greek word “aistheterion”, meaning “organs of perception”.
God does not want anyone to suffer in pains because that is why Jesus took all our sicknesses and diseases to the cross. The Bible says that at the cross, Jesus Visage was marred beyond that of any man (Isaiah 52:14); “He (Jesus) had no form of comeliness… there is no beauty that we should desire Him”, because He was beaten to pulp (Isaiah 53:2). Read: Psalm 129:3; Psalm 22:17.
Beloved, when the soldiers tied Him to the scourging post, He was thinking about you; everything they did to Him was because of you. Today, healing is your right because Jesus has paid the price for your healing. Every curse of sickness that was supposed to fall on you fell on Jesus instead. Today we can walk in divine health, so refuse to stay sick.

February 18. “The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available (dynamic in its working)” (James 5:16 Amp) The happenings in our environments and the world over calls for our importunity in prayer. Out of ignorance a lot of people are blaming God for certain occurrences in their lives. But if things must change in the direction of God’s original plans and purposes, then we must keep praying.
